Quote of the Day
“What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.”

PMHNP BOARD EXAM PREP · MADE BY A NURSE
Study pharmacology the way your brain actually remembers.
The Psychiatric Pharmacology Coloring Book turns 12 psychotropic drug classes into pages you color, annotate, and never forget — complete with At-a-Glance clinical panels and evidence-based references.
49 pages · 12 drug classes · instant download — built by a nurse studying for the same boards you are.
WHAT’S INSIDE
All 12 psychotropic drug classes. One beautiful study system.
Each class gets colorable mechanism-of-action pages, an At-a-Glance clinical panel (indications, monitoring, black-box warnings), and APA-formatted references you can trust.
- SSRIs — serotonin reuptake & washout windows
- SNRIs — dual-action, dose-dependent effects
- Tricyclics — receptors, cardiac monitoring & toxicity
- MAOIs — tyramine rules & interaction traps
- Atypical Antidepressants — bupropion, mirtazapine & more
- First-Gen Antipsychotics — D2 blockade & EPS pathways
- Second-Gen Antipsychotics — metabolic monitoring grids
- Mood Stabilizers — lithium levels & lab schedules
- Anticonvulsants — valproate, lamotrigine, carbamazepine
- Benzodiazepines — GABA-A & half-life ladders
- Stimulants & ADHD Agents — DA/NE pathways
- Hypnotics & Sleep Agents — Z-drugs & orexin antagonists
WHY COLORING WORKS
Active recall beats passive reading. Every time.
Dual coding
Pairing visual work with written facts stores the same information in two memory channels — so it surfaces faster on exam day and at the bedside.
Mechanism first
When you understand what a drug does at the synapse, side effects and monitoring stop being memorization — they become logic.
At-a-Glance panels
Every class ends with a clinical panel — indications, key monitoring, and warnings — the exact format you’ll wish you had during review week.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Made by a nurse who’s still in the trenches.
I’m Ordalis Mountain, BSN, RN-BC, PMHNP Student — a bilingual registered nurse with 13 years at the bedside, currently completing my psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner training while working in Houston, Texas. I built this book because the resources I needed didn’t exist: visual, clinically accurate, and actually enjoyable to study from. I’m also a proud member of Sigma, the international honor society of nursing.
If I’m going to spend hundreds of hours studying psychopharmacology, the materials should work as hard as I do.
Every page is grounded in current evidence with APA-formatted references — because study tools for future prescribers should meet the same standard we hold our practice to.
I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, and I care deeply about bringing quality mental-health care to communities that too often go without it. That’s the heart behind everything I make.
As a PMHNP student myself, I’m actively using these same tools to study — the coloring pages, flashcards, and clinical panels are the exact materials I reach for on my own board-prep journey.
